The Pathway

Five stages. The bike is the entry. The pathway is the product. Every rider moves through it at their own pace, and no stage is skipped.

The pathway just got real.

Apex GP is now an official affiliate of the Chicho Lorenzo Masters Program, the Madrid academy founded by Chicho Lorenzo, coach of MotoGP world champion Jorge Lorenzo. For three decades his structured, colour-graded, seven-level method has shaped Grand Prix talent, and it now runs here in New Zealand through Apex GP.

We deliver the Chicho Lorenzo seven-level technique system here on the North Shore, the same framework used at the Madrid school.

The method is woven through every stage of our pathway, from first laps on the 60 through to competitive MiniGP.

A route to Madrid

Our riders have a recognised pathway to train with the Chicho Lorenzo School in Spain.

Trial

One session. Find out if it sticks. 60cc bike, full kit provided, instructor on track. Parents on the fence after this session are welcome to walk away. Most don't.

Beginner

Eight-week block on the Apex 60. Saturdays. Master throttle control, braking, body position, and the line before speed enters the conversation.

8 Weeks · Ages 3 to 10
03
Developing

Race-line training. Step up to the Apex 110. Lap times become real. Riders learn to read a session, debrief with their coach, and ride with intent.

12 Weeks · Ages 9 to 16
04
Competitive

Sanctioned racing. Race numbers issued. Riders enter the New Zealand MiniGP series, and the weekend becomes a race weekend. Parents become a paddock crew.

05
Elite

National-level pathway. Selected riders. Targeted coaching, fitness programming, and international race exposure. The route from Auckland to the world.

The Bikes

Three race-bred machines. One pathway. Every bike wears full MiniGP fairing, factory red, and the knockout mark on the flank.

Lap 03 · The Next Step

Beginner Day.
Seven Days a Week.
Two Per Slot.

Full safety kit provided for every rider: helmet, body armour (not a race suit), gloves and boots. Instructor on site. Held in our fully enclosed rear car park at the showroom. Each slot runs 1 hour and is $280 per slot either way: book it privately for one rider, or share the slot with a second rider (max 2 per slot) and split the cost. Bookings open at the start of each month and sessions fill within the week.
